AIDS Prevention Initiative in Nigeria (APIN) is a non-governmental donor-funded organization dedicated to the prevention, treatment, care and support of diseases of public health importance in Nigeria, including HIV/AIDS, tuberculosis and malaria, among others. Since 2001, we have worked closely with key stakeholders, including donors, government agencies, university teaching hospitals and other non-governmental organizations to deliver qualitative interventions. APIN's goal is to reduce the burden and mitigate the impact of those diseases through cutting edge, innovative & sustainable approaches. Our intervention activities span forty-two sites in ten states of the Federation and are coordinated from our offices in Abuja, Lagos and Ibadan. | Cummins West Africa is a worldwide provider of electrical generators and power generation systems, components and services in standby power, distributed power generation, as well as auxiliary power in mobile applications to meet the needs of a diversified customer base. Cummins Power Generation products include diesel and alternative-fueled electrical generator sets from 2.5 to 2,700 kW, alternators from 0.6 KVA to 30,000 KVA, transfer switches from 40 amps to 3,000 amps, paralleling switchgear and generator set controls. Its expanding its operations in Nigeria and it urgently requires competent, brilliant and result oriented persons for the following positions: Job Title: Service Technician Port Harcourt: Rivers State Responsibilities Ability to carry out maintenance and repairs to Cummins Engines and Generator Sets Ensure proper operations and maintenance of Generators Complete repairs within target times and without rework Have and demonstrate ability to work on own initiative within the parameters laid down. Work with a reasonable amount of overtime to complete and clear work load Ensure Cummins & customer HS & E standards are met and enforced at all times on both Cummins & customer sites. Requirements: OND/Diploma, City & Guilds and Trade Test in Engines or Generating Plant. Candidates who can drive will be given preference. Experience/Skills Minimum of 3 years experience maintenance and repair of Diesel Engines and Generator Sets. Strong communication skills. Electrical experience an advantage but not essential. Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines.
