Oil & Gas Company: Senior Geologist

Our client is one of the world's largest energy companies. Its major interest is in the exploration, production and distribution of natural gas. Having recently been established in the country, they are now looking for skilled local Oil & Gas professionals to assist them further develop their plans in the exploring, producing and distributing of natural gas. They are hiring for a Senior Geologist, to be based in Nigeria. This role is for a Senior Geologist to join the team as part of a new exploration department. The role itself will cover all aspects of Geology including technical studies on fields, discoveries and prospects to include the evaluation of current fields. You will also participate in technical and operations meetings at various locations throughout Europe. You will also be involved with the co-ordination of studies focused at reservoir architecture understanding and volumetric estimation. Skills and Experience The ideal Senior Geologist will have at least 8 years of post graduate experience from either an operating or consultancy background. You should have significant hands on technical experience with this experience coming ideally from West Africa. You should have experience of 3D modelling along with clastic and carbonate reservoir Geology experience. In terms of software you should be able to use a variety of formats including PETREL.
